Tutorial for PSP 8, by PrettyJu

 Needed:

PSP 8 (probably you can use PSP 9 or X)
a clipart or a dingbat (for the pattern)
Filter Flaming Pear
superbladepro preset (for lace effect texture)
*I don't remember who made this preset

..............

OK...let's get started!

1. Open a new image 500 X 400.

2. Floodfill with black (or dark colour of your choise).

3. Open you pattern and select the part you want to work with.
(I have choose this part:)

4. Selection - select all, then click on the center of the picture, you get this:

5. Selection - expand by 1

6. Floodfill the selection with white:

7. Effects - Plugins - FlamingPears - SuperBladePro - GV_Pleated_Cotton (default settings):

8. Colorize with this settings:

9. copy and paste like a new layer on your 500 X 400 blank image.

OK, now this is the fun part of the tut! Just use your imagination and turn, resize, etc your picture like you want...

Here is what I have did:
I have turn 90 degres right and resize about 40%
Duplicate my raster layer and flip my layer just like this:

I have put the second layer over the first layer:

Mask your background layer:

Layer - merge - merge visible

Layer - duplicate

Image - mirror

Make your background layer visible, then put the 2 layers together:

Mask your background layer:

Layer - merge - merge visible

Select this part... and press the "delete" key:

Selection - select none

Select the booton part and past to the top part:

Selection - select none

Layer - duplicate (twice)

Put the lace parts like this to make a border:

Mask your background layer:

Layer - merge - merge visible

Image - rotate 90 degres right

That's it!!

Hope this will inspire you my friends!

Hugs,

PrettyJu
